Parvana’s Journey

In this sequel to "The Breadwinner", Parvana's home town of Kabul is in ruins. Parvana's mother, sister and brother have traveled to a town that has been bombed. Parvana and her father do not know where they are or if they are alive. They travel in search of their family. When her father dies, Parvana, disguised as a boy, continues alone across a war-ridden Afghanistan. She meets other children who are victims of the war, and the children travel together, forging a kind of family out of necessity.
